You might consider checking out an FJR1300. Not quite 'busa power, but still pulls like a very smooth & refined freight-train + it would be outstanding for long-distance riding (especially for a big/tall guy). I just recently installed an Ohlins shock & reworked the forks w/ racetech internals on one a buddy of mine owns - now it handles outstandingly well too.
