Default Feet are killing me

Have a question for those of you that stand on their feet all day.

What shoes do you wear?

I'm working at a job that I stand in one place 8 hours a day. Literally, I don't move unless it's break time or lunch. My feet have become the appendages from hell, and before I go to a podiatrist, I wanted to know who's wearing what.

I bought a pair of Ecco's but they made my feet hurt worse than my high dollar New Balance's did.

Depends on what you need for style.
My mom has issues with her feet, and her doc told her wear New Balance shoes all the time, and oNLY new balance.

I wore ecco's or Docs when I worked at the dealership.

Now I wear combat boots.

Birkenstocks FTW! Custom fit..ugly as hell, but worth the 3-4 hundred you'll pay.

You gonna get me some too?

I looked at those, seems they only have open heeled varieties.

And no, the bank won't loan me anymore money to get you a pair.

The problem I'm having with tennis shoes is that they point me downhill all day. I need shoes that are level.

Forgot the name, but tried some on that the heel is lower than the sole. Felt REALLY weird!

I'm usually wearing a pair of Corcoran Machs, which are SUPER comfy, nd can probably pass for casual if you're careful.

Sears sold a pair of side zip boots I love too, decent looking and quite comfy.

I've ALWAYS been a boots guy, but then again, what I'm into doing for work, boots are most suitable. custodians or mechanics shouldnt be working in fancy shoes.

I'm only 23 and my feet hurt during work. With my slip on boots I wear them two sizes too big. I put in a gel insole and an arch insole. Glue them down or they'll move on you.

With tennis shoes I just do my best.
