92 cbr f2
What up fellas,
So my buddy is sellin his 92 CBR F2, in pristine condition, never dropped, etc, What do you guys know about this bike, is it something I should look into maybe gettin? He hasnt set a price yet, and when i was lookin at it, i didnt check mileage. So (after I do more thorough checks), what is your opinion of the bike as a whole? |

It's a great starter bike and it's a Honda....meaning it will run forever. YOu should be able to pick that up pretty cheap.

I raced 600 production class on that bike, back when it was the one to have.
I'd have to disagree with Rider about it being a "starter bike", unless you don't have much experience, because the F2 is still pretty goddamn fast. Not competitive by today's standards of course, but still nothing to sneeze at. The frames are stiff as hell, so set up is key to getting it to work right, but other than that, it's a solid platform. I accidentally had one for a while. Really not a bad bike all in all.

miles are a nonissue unless its been stunted. listen at startup/idle for the notorious CCT rattle. fuck it, get the APE tensioner anyhow, its worth it over the stock hydraulic piece of rubbish.

F-series are great bikes, albiet pain in the asses to work on, which you'll be required to do a lot of with any bike thats 18 years old. I allways advise against making large purchases from friends, but in this case, i doubt he's selling it for more than 2k.
