Oh i knew the bike was a hit bike, the guy bought it for $100 and it took 2 months to get it running. the previous owner used it for parts and apparently one of the parts he used was the nut holding the brake lever on.

Well, now 2 hours after it happened my wrist is starting to get sore.

Glad you decided to throw on a helmet, because for the type of ride you were taking a large percentage of folks out there would have not bothered to put a helmet on.

Hope you are okay, I doubt there was much of any, but any damage to the bike?
