Lifts bikes too. Doesn't lift full height, but it fits in a regular garage, and if you get the little fucking wheelie seat, I'd bet that working underneath a car has to suck a shit ton less than working with fucking jackstands and a creeper.

Under two grand.

I saw a guy working under a car the other day with an old bumper jack and no stands. Wanted to go kick it to teach him a lesson, but figured that might be dangerous.

We've been looking at lifts for a while now - now that I've gotten into cars, it's a whole new world.

Yeah, you could have hurt your foot. That would suck.

If I get my disability settlement, a lift is a sure thing, and this looks like a good option.

Ehhh.....if it only goes 4 feet it's pretty worthless.

For a garage, I'd just get 2, 3.5 ton truck jacks with truck jackstands if you want to raise a vehicle a few feet. Granted doing brake jobs is easier standing up, but I mean how many are you going to do? Anything from underneath is going to be hard when you have to sit on the ground anyway.

Pussy

To take the "fear" out of getting under a car with stands, put the car on jackstands, then put the jack under the side of vehicle you are working on as well. Take a very slight amount of the pressure off of the jackstand with the jack. This way you have 2 things holding up the side of the car you are working on and you'll be more at peace with the thing staying up in the air.

I actually looked at getting one of those. One of my friends has a full blown 2 post lift he had bought from a car dealer garage at a liquidation sale. So now I just use his. But it is a perfect lift for low overhead usage. You really need to make sure your garage floor is at least 3000 PSI concrete though.

LOL I want! That's awesome! I bet you could sit on a little rolling stool and do all your work.
