What's funny is the guy was starting to get all tough so some of the other judges came over to see what was going on.

The look on the scrawny little runt's face when he was being faced down by 4-5 black belts, none of whom were below 2nd degree (and all of whom were performing some kind of weapons form later in the day and also all of whom were all warmed up for kumite), was priceless.

We were at a dance recital and the parents could buy a trophy to give to their child. A RECITAL, not a competition... kids now have the expectation of a trophy. Made me want to punch parents in the face.

baseball or football I can see yelling at a coach/official but at a martial arts event/contest, I would say thats a bad idea.

Are you freakin kidding me? Please, tell me its sarcasm. has something to do with "overnight" of summer camps? hmm. ok

but this is rediculous. kids these days are turning to soft marshmallow-like spongeballs. get their asses off the couch and out on their feet runnin 'round to get fit

i watched kids walk away from red rover broken and beaten, its not a sport for pussies. Saw a kid break his arm playing it too, granted it was a freak accident but still.

In nyc these old ladies start summer camps in bad areas provide crappy child care and put kids in danger, not saying its a smart law, but it address a specific problem in low income neighborhoods. The real problem us that les than 6 kids isn't considered a regulatable child care. The parents don't care because it's cheapo summer child care.
