i think they still had the pushrod in 82, so number 1- make sure the cover that the clutch cable goes into is tite, even if its a lil loose, no amount of adjusting is gona matter.

number 2, adjust the handlebar knob all the way back in, then adjust the adjustment on the cable itself...
sorry, KZ1100...good call. Yes, new clutch cable. He is in town tomorrow, I'll have him check this stuff. thanks
