That's what I was thinking, that it isn't a development issue.

Also, it's not just peeing. He's pooping at night too. Sometimes both...but always one or the other.

And he does not appear to be drinking any more water than normal. But he does drink a lot. He's a hyper lab...always running around...needs his water.

Im with Rider, cut off his water at say 8 or so every night, before bed and see how that goes. Its not cruel, its simply training. Better to try that first then go spend a couple hundred bucks at the vets for a bunch of tests that may not tell you the issue.

Its also a form of training for puppies, especially those kennel trained. All of my pups have been trained like that, no food or water after a certain time, until they get a good schedule and can do their business outside at certain times.

Does your dog need to go outside during the day more than usual? Or, is it just at night?

Just night. Daytime is the same as always.

Oooooo, I'd remove food and water bowls after eating "dinner" and see if things change. It's much like potty training a child, no drinks after a certain time of night... no liquid in, no liquid out.

There is no harm in not having liquids for a particular time.

If it continues, or occurs during the day I would think something is up like a UTI...
