I think were entitled to 40 dollars a day. I was technically off yesterday so who knows how it will play out.

I got a questionaire about a year ago. Thought for sure that it would lead to me getting called down very soon. Nothing so far <knock on wood>.

That being said... I really shouldn't care. My company will pay me my full days pay for as long as I'm out for JD. Plus my $12 or $15 or whatever per day they give.

The biggest problem is... boredom like stated above. No cell phones, no laptops, nothing. Maybe a magazine so I guess I could do that if allowed.

Plus its in Detoilet with expensive parking! BS!

I highly doubt I'll make it thru selection with my family being in law enforcement and some of it being inmates. I have a negative for both sides.

I just served this week. Got picked in the first round (this is what you want), went up to the courtroom and then got picked to sit and be asked questions in that first round. Some black dude was on trial for armed robbery (prolly guilty lol) and he had a black lawyer. The judge first asked if anyone thinks they cannot stay the full week and I told him I'm going overseas this weekend. The black lawyer looks at whitey me and convinces the judge that we may go into Monday if the jury delibrates. This after the judge spent 10 minutes telling us it just wouldn't. lol

Judge let me go. Was outta there within a few hours. Nice...

Oh yeah there was this one dude that had a shirt in the front that said
"Guilty" and and on the back said "Like you didn't do it". hahahaha...guy kept walking back and forth so everyone would see it.

For future reference when tagged with jury duty.. Walk in, pull out a sheet of paper with writing on both sides and start with, "The following are the groups of people I hate..." By the time you get to the b's, you should be excused..

its not as easy as that anymore, I think the lawyers are aware that some try to get out of stuff. We had to fill out a questionaire then they would ask you questions based on that and its possible relevance to the cases.

I got super lucky that I was called for a civil case involving a motorcycle so between my my hobbies and my profession I would be aq bad juror for that case.
