Default CCW owners come inside

For those of us who carry a concealed weapon on a regular basis...has anyone here had to draw their weapon? If so, why?

Me, I've only been carrying for a month. I've not had to draw my weapon, hope I never have to.

Yup, didn't have a rifle available to shoot at the coyote.

I too hope that is all the more I will ever have to draw it for.

On one Occasion when a former client who made several threats after being incarcerated appeared outside my office causing a disturbance was the only time my handgun cleared the holster for something other than recreation. Police came and dealt with him ( a Taser and 4 officers were involved ) and he never saw my pistol. None the less he is a mentally ill meth freak (rare here in New England) with a history of armed assault. I would have hated to shoot him but at that moment I was as prepared as I ever have been to use deadly force.

I'm sure that was intense.

I've carried concealed for 20 + years and have drawn my handgun twice.

Once at work when a vagrant had snuck into the building at night and was hiding behind a door. I was working in a 40 story building at the time and that was a bit spooky...heard a sound...dark area...and then while pushing a door open...it stops and I hear a thud...it was the guys foot...he was hiding behind the door. This was after business hours.

He immediately about crapped his pants and exited with no problem but I wasn't sure if he was by himself or not so it was kind of weird until I left that night.

The other time was a roadrage type thing...two guys at night tried to block me in and approach me with baseball bats but you should have seen the look on their faces when they saw me sitting there calmly...staring at them and smiling while licking the barrel of my Glock. Yeah I like using pschcological warfare...it worked...they said something to the fact of "GD...this dudes crazy...let's get the feck out of here" and spun their tires while accelerating quickly away from me.

That's it in 20 + years.

Now I've had my hand on it a few times...ready....but didn't actually have to draw it...mostly work related.

Going on 14 years CC and haven't had to yet.
I did once, before I was legally allowed to carry concealed.

Been carrying for 7 years, never had to draw it on a human, but I did kill a couple Water Moccasins while I was out fishing once that weren't deterred by repeated hits from an oar. Those motherfuckers were determined to get in my boat.

That would definitely be considered a threat.
