Default BMC filter

Anyone ever clean your filter with something other thatn the K&N cleaning solution?

Brake Cleaner? Soap in the sink... What you using?

I use the stuff from the K&N kit. It's not that expensive and it lasts a while.

Brake cleaner, Blow Torch, sand Blaster... Oil of olay. What else ya found that YOU USE.

I never used anything but the K&N stuff in my truck... and never got to wash my bikes...

I'd imagine ANY degreaser would be ok... but i'd use dish soap if I wasn't gonna use the K&N cleaner


is yours Foam or cotton? my K&N is cotton so I don't have to worry about certain cleaners eating away at it.

I take it you have used this correct? I think the BMC race that I have is foam not cotton and I was thinking about using a product similar to simple green.

After 2 years it deserves a cleaning as it has some discoloration.
