The 80s were times of plenty they could get away with crazy bad ideas now every thing has to be just right or they will tell you all about it in the magizine test. Plus now the labor cost is so high it has to be monkey with a wrench easy so robots can do it with out mistake.

you're not kiddin. Things have DRAMATICALLY improved on the newer bikes in terms of ease of service and quality/reliability. dependability of a newer bike is just INSANE really.
