This is what we are thinking/hoping, as it is the easiest fix.

Sadly, I won't find out the true answer for another 2 weeks when I get back home.

Shame on me, did some research, and yes, indeedy, the oil cooler has a coolent circuit on the FZ and it would appear that you have performed a Vulcan Mind Meld on your FZ, mixing the two fluids and forming a noxious mess in your crankcase . Much flushing of the oil sump and the coolent tank, radiator and galleries will be called for.......

Flushing... that would be after you ensure its all fixed!

Better buy the fluids in bulk and plan on doing it a few times.
